Members of the Garrick Club have been left bemused by the following piece in the Daily Mail’s ‘Eden Confidential’ diary column:
Garrick Club members have expressed some bafflement as to the identity of the mystery couple, though The Sun claims to know, reporting that the suspended member is “a figure known to millions.” They quote an unnamed source as saying, “In all the years the Garrick has opened its doors, nothing has quite sent members reeling like this. This behaviour was more akin to sleazy Soho club rather than this stuffy establishment.” Neither the Garrick nor the unnamed-and-suspended member responded to The Sun for comment.
